Why the score is free and always will be
Charging people to find out how exposed they are would be a good business and a bad idea. Here is what we charge for instead.
Every version of this platform we sketched at the start put a paywall in a slightly different place. The one we shipped puts it after the diagnosis, and that decision explains most of how the product behaves.
The diagnosis costs nothing
Joining is free and stays free. Your LQ™ Score, the four pillars behind it, your recommendations ranked by what each is worth, a monthly Legacy Lens™ refresh and a vault to keep what you already have: none of that asks for a card.
The reason is simple. A family that does not know what is missing cannot decide whether to fix it, and charging for the knowing turns the first step back into the barrier we exist to remove.
What you actually pay for
Documents, and unlimited free edits on them. That is the whole paid product. A will generated for your state with the signing checklist attached, a trust with its funding checklist, the powers of attorney, and the ability to rewrite any of it as many times as your life demands at no extra cost.
Traditional estate planning starts at $3,000 and up. A plan here starts at $29 a year, and every plan is free for its first 15 days.
Why unlimited edits are not an upsell
Because the alternative fails predictably. Charge per edit and people do not edit. Their will keeps naming an executor who moved, a guardian who now has three children of her own, and an account that closed in 2019.
A document that is not maintained stops being accurate the first time life changes, and a plan that punishes maintenance is a plan designed to go out of date.
What we do not do with the free part
The score is not sold, not brokered, not reported to any bureau and never shown to a lender or an insurer. The one place it goes is to a Legacy Professional™ you choose to connect with, inside the platform, so they can help without you re-explaining your life.
